"Your greatest strength can be your greatest weakness."
Catchphrase
"ya feel"
Jacob, named Jakey in European and Australian versions, is a villager who first appears in Dōbutsu no Mori e+. He is a bird of the lazypersonality. His Japanese catchphrase "chuuuuurp" is similar to Anchovy's. Jacob returns in Animal Crossing: New Leaf - welcome amiibo, where his added catchphrase "ya feel" is a complementary to Wade's "so it goes." Jacob originally appeared on the album cover for King K.K. before being replaced by Jay, another bird villager.
He shares the same birthday as Nan. Jacob's name could come from a jay bird, much like another villager named Jay, which connects to its species.
In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Jacob may be found reading a book pertaining to an item he is studying, which can be either flowers, bugs, fish, or fossils.
Jacob is a multi-colored bird. He has a light-green mark on top of his head, which is mostly red, but his cheeks and the bottom-center of Jacob's face are yellow. Jacob's eyebrows are curved similarly to a left-sided arch. Jacob's eyebrows and beak are a grayish blue. The lower part of Jacob's body is red, while his belly is yellow. Jacob has light-green hands. When Jacob gets shocked, his eyes turn red.
As a lazy villager, Jacob will be friendly and easy to get along with due to his laid back lifestyle. Like all lazy villagers, he has a love of food and relaxing. He will enjoy partaking in the usual hobbies, usually for relaxing reasons or for food, like when fishing. Jacob will get along well with other villagers, but may offend or confuse jock villagers, who have a lifestyle of exercise and fitness, which conflicts with the lazy lifestyle of relaxing and food. He will get along with other lazy villagers with whom he will talk about food, comics, or superheroes. He will also get along well with normal, peppy, smug, and big sister villagers, and occasionally cranky villagers, but may from time to time annoy snooty villagers, who disagree with the lazy lifestyle.
In Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, Jacob's theme is natural, his primary reward is Preserves, he initially wears the Green tie-dye tee, requires Coco and Pals' Island, and his description is "Some people are just born with style. Jacob wishes he wasn't one of those people. He's often so busy giving fashion advice, he barely has time to dress himself in the morning!"

I suppose being flashy in appearance could be considered a talent. He doesn't seem to care that he looks like that, though. Talent is not something that only those who pursue it possess. Ah, how enviable he is.
