Allegro con Brio is famous for its “DA-DA-DA-DUM” motif, for knocking on the door. Its mood is urgent, dramatic, and intense. The famous motif is heard repeatedly. It is written in [[C minor]].

This movement is slower and more peaceful than the first. It is written in [[A♭ major]] and has a theme with variations. The music feels calm and noble, with gentle rhythms and soft melodies. Sometimes the music becomes stronger, showing contrast and emotion.
