Target Tag

2026-09-21T20:39:21Z

Daisy:

Target Tag is one of the 4-player minigames in Mario Party 7. The goal of each playable character is to pass through numbered targets and have the most points by the end.

The minigame begins with each player entering their cannon and then blasting up into the air. The targets are numbered either 5, 10, 30, or 50, giving the same number of points to the character who touched it. The only obstacle is the targets depicting the Bowser emblem, which take away all points. The minigame ends with every player landing on a safety net at the end. Anyone who ends with the most points wins.

Past few days
The past few days I was importing earlier page histories of some Super Mario Wiki articles into various Fandom wikis. Keep in mind that doing so is still not allowed on wikis that I host: the reason I did it there is because it's forking from that website piece-by-piece, and most of the contributors exist on Fandom locally. More information. Gstar (talk) 10:47, 5 August 2025 (EDT)
:I’ve created the welcome template and stub template here, and imported some emotion templates here. You should format those templates (without using vikidia’s). Now, Faster (talk) 10:53, 5 August 2025 (EDT)

Mario
Hi, I just wanted to fill you in on some updates, since we've been less collaborative this month.

The most major thing is that I've been manually importing content from the Super Mario Wiki to established Fandom wikis, and I have tried talking to others about this beforehand. The SMW is hopelessly ruined, corrupt, and nowhere remotely close to what it once was. The good content honestly should've been moved to Fandom years ago.

That being said, I still don't want manual imports on wikis that I host (I gave you more leeway on Yoshipedia and B-K Wiki since those are yours). But on Fandom, most of the accounts exist locally.

Anyway, to get to my point, I want to break away from the SMW completely. Not necessarily the users, since me and Skurvy are on good terms and Hewer safeguards Fanonpedia. But to fulfill this, I'd want to update any articles imported into Nintendo, Mario, or SSB wikis to go from pointing to the SMW article to either of those wiki. However, since this is an unauthorized "reverse-fork," I'd update the disclaimer template to link to the page history, so then it's crystal-clear that all the contributors are attributed and that there's no plagiarism. Definitely a long shot.

I'll show one example: the Primid article on Smashpedia, and most recently the Link article on SMW.

So what happens to the older Fandom pages if it can't be comfortably fit? I have an article archives system in place for earlier iterations of the content. Gstar (talk) 12:54, 25 August 2025 (EDT)

:I think the user on Yoshipedia was Gffggff, like on the animal crossing wiki. I’m not PawPatroler. There is also a PawPatroler on Nookipedia, too. I will also block PawPatroler. May I have an account on wariopedia? I’ve heard that wariopedia is too similar to gamerpedia. Now, Faster (talk) 19:08, 17 September 2025 (EDT)
::"Abusing email user functions to try to coerce admins to commit to an unrelated off-wiki activity, on top of numerous infractions they've done on various NIWA wikis for which they have been banned for." Appears this was the block reason. What is this "unrelated off-wiki activity"? Wariopedia isn't going anywhere, but sure. Gstar (talk) 19:14, 17 September 2025 (EDT)
:::Why does wariopedia use the same license as gamerpedia? Now, Faster (talk) 19:16, 17 September 2025 (EDT)
::::Simple, for variety and so people can reuse without having to give credit. There's a very fine line between license-free and public domain. I imagined some true "public domain" equivalent, which could even be on Gamerpedia and marked as such (we'll see). Wariopedia is less broad, and fills in the missing Wario slot. Hey, i have tried to search upbeat faster music, but now, faster showed up. Now, Faster, i have never heard of that song for my whole entire life. I'M GOING to ask of what dat song is i searched "faster songs" on youtube and it gave me Kids vs Phonics content and Now, Faster without watching it. I just looked at a preview to see what the song looks like but that song is likely clouds and cars driving around. the bike has a weird face and hair. your name appears multiple times in now, faster but on indy wiki i saw multiple images of now faster like "Otters saying now faster".

Could you help me see what the song is? Violet loves pinkfong (talk) 18:02, 30 December 2025 (EST)
:”Now, Faster” is a children’s song by pinkfong. It teaches people speed comparisons from slowest to fastest. The 5 vehicles included are the bike, the car, the train, the plane, and the rocket. Wait, so will snowsherrill be the sanctuary for CC BY-SA wikis, co-led by indy.snowsherrill.com and camian.snowsherrill.com? i actually think it'd work well if it is, since i believe your wiki endeavors to extend farther than mine, which are largely bound to the past.

does this mean that more cc by-sa wikis are coming on snowsherrill in the future? the question is how would i know which wikis you'll keep up long term and which you won't? I know italia got closed, and so did disney magic kingdom.

I have a few ideas:

*pokemon.snowsherrill.com
*nes.snowsherrill.com
*nintendo64.snowsherrill.com

Additionally, are we taking some Fandom wiki pages on to new snowsherrill wikis? If i'm not mistaken, you like importing more than me (I just do it on Fandom to preserve Super Mario Wiki content, so that it's on the institutional option).

Video game

2026-09-21T20:38:23Z

Daisy:

A video game is an electronic game played on a video screen (normally a television, computer monitor, or built-in screen when played on a handheld machine).

There are many types, or genres, of video games: role-playing games; shooters, first-person shooters, side-scrollers, and platformers.

Video games usually come on CDs, DVDs or downloaded digitally. Many games used to come inside of acartridge. A specialized device used to play video games at home is called a console. There have been many types of consoles and home computers used to play video games. Some of the first consoles made were the Atari 2600 in the 1970s and the Sega Master System and Nintendo Entertainment System in the 1980s. The newest line of video game consoles are Microsoft's Xbox Series X or Series S Sony's 5 and Nintendo's Nintendo Switch 2. The best-selling video game console to date is the 2, made by Sony.

People can also use computers to play games, which are sometimes called PC games. Older gaming consoles do not get many games after a while, but in recent years newer consoles rarely get the older games. A lot of the time console games which are unplayable or are on older hardware are ported or emulated on PCs (see emulator). This means that new computers can play many old console games along with games made just for new computers. Older games are emulated because of the ease of downloading them as opposed to having to use older hardware. Additionally, emulating games usually provides better performance as opposed to using the older hardware to access the games.

People can play portable video games anywhere. Mobile devices (running operating systems such as iOS or Android) also can download games, making them a popular choice for gaming out and about. Mobile phones have many games, and some games on console are accessible by using a mobile emulator. Not all PC or console games are on mobile or iPad/ iPod/Tablet without an emulator.

Competitions of video game players are called electronic sports, also known as e-sports.

Current generation consoles
* The current Xbox models are the Xbox Series X and Series S, which came out in November 2020. The console before it, the Xbox One came out in November 2013 followed by the Xbox One S in November 2016, and then by the Xbox One X, originally named, in November 2017.The Xbox line of products were made by the American company Microsoft. It replaced the Xbox 360, offering a similar online experience and controller layout, but with improved graphics, hardware, and accessibility. Like the original and 360 versions, it also allows people to put music from an MP3 player or other sources onto the system. It was the last of the 8th generation consoles to come out.
* The 5, which came out in November 2020, is currently the newest console from the PlayStation series of game consoles from Sony Computer Entertainment, a division of the Japanese company Sony. It has two versions; one can play disc games, and one cannot. It can play many of the games from the console that came before it, the 4.
* Nintendo, another Japanese company, has made many video game consoles over the years. The most recent is the Nintendo Switch 2, which came out in June 2025. The standard version of the console can be used as both a handheld console or can be connected to a television and used like a standard console. It is a console from the ninth generation of video games. It is much more powerful than the previous console, the Nintendo Switch.

Current handheld consoles
One handheld console that is supported today is the Switch, which looks like a tablet computer but can also be plugged into a TV. It is the first example of a "hybrid console" that can be used as both as a TV-based model and a handheld device. It was released in March 2017.

Sony's Portable (PSP) came out in 2004. A new version, the Vita, first came out in 2012. Additionally, Sony released the Portal in 2023, but it requires an active PS5.

Also, in 2004, Nintendo released the Nintendo DS (Dual Screen), which has two separate screens, where one of which is a touchscreen. New versions came out in later years, such as the Nintendo DSi in 2008 and the Nintendo DSi XL. The Nintendo 3DS, the first handheld console with 3D graphics, came out in 2011. The 2DS followed in 2013. The New 3DS XL, which is similar to the 3DS but with updated graphical capabilities, was released in 2015. The latest entry into the DS lineup is the "New 2DS XL", released on the 28th of July 2017.

Valve released the Steam Deck in Feb 2022 in the North America region. The Steam Deck is a handheld console that can play games made for personal computers.

Asus released the ROG Ally in June 2023.

History
The first video game is believed to be Tennis for Two, a rudimentary tennis game to be played with two people developed in 1958. Another early example is Spacewar!, developed in 1962.

In the 1950s, when the first computers began creation, three people had some ideas to create the basis of video games. In 1951, Ralph Baer, an American engineer of Loral Electronics, tried to create "the best television", proposing to add a gaming module, but his employer did not like his idea. Even though his idea was never agreed on, he is the first man to have thought about creating video games. Later, Ralph made the first video game console, the Odyssey. Later, in 1952, A.S Douglas, of the University of Cambridge in the UK, made a video game on a computer in order to illustrate one of his speeches. The game, called OXO, was a tic-tac-toe game, with two players (the person itself and the opponent, the computer). In 1953, Willy Higinbotham made a game called Tennis For Two, similar to the later Pong, to entertain visitors to Brookhaven National Laboratory. Another early video game is a version of checkers, but this is largely overlooked.

One of the most famous and one of the earliest video games ever is called Space Invaders. Space Invaders Keplerians was made in 1978 as a coin operated arcade game, but a version has been made for most game consoles and home computers available.

QUIET! IT'LL RUN AWAY! Um... That was a little loud.
Phoebe is a big sister ostrich villager from the Animal Crossing franchise. She is only the big sister ostrich in the series. Her English, Japanese, and Chinese names may refer to a mythical phoenix, with her Japanese name “hinoko”, may come from “hinotori” meaning “sparks” which also may refer to her catchphrase. Her Chinese name means “fire bird” which refers to her appearance.

In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Phoebe has the fitness hobby and will wear sporty shades and lift heavy dumbbells while exercising.

Appearance
Phoebe is an orange-red and brilliant yellow ostrich with spotted wings, a salmon beak and striped legs. She has a yellow-orange blush on her cheeks and navy eyelashes. She has visible spots and patterns on her wings and tail. These patterns resemble a peacock's tail feathers. Her appearance is based on a phoenix. Her description in Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp also refers to the longevity of this mythical bird. She is somewhat similar to Rio.

Personality
Having the big sister personality, Phoebe will be the elder sister figure of the player in the game. Phoebe enjoys a laid-back and peaceful life, often expressing her discontent about the cranky and snooty villagers who enjoy spreading rumors about other villagers. She may be considered a more free-spirited and adventurous version of normal villagers, and is the female counterpart of smug villagers.
